
Matthew Torne

Matthew Torne is an Emmy-nominated producer whose films have premiered at Sundance, Hot Docs, and DOC NYC, and have been distributed by Netflix, POV/PBS, the BBC, and NHK.
His credits include the Sundance Audience Award-winning Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower (Netflix Original), the Emmy-nominated Who’s Afraid of Nathan Law? (POV/PBS), Mai Khoi and the Dissidents (BBC), and the Sundance and Emmy Award-winning Enemies of the People (Channel 4), on which he served as Associate Producer.
For more than fifteen years, Torne has focused on stories involving intelligence, corruption, political power, and international affairs. ROGUE AGENT represents his first narrative feature, drawing on extensive research into the intersection of government, covert operations, business, and organized crime.
Torne holds an MSc in Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford and is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
